THE BEGINNING
Elliot Carter, a watch enthusiast with a passion for both mechanical craftsmanship and design, saw an untapped opportunity in customizing Seiko watches—a brand known for its reliable and affordable timepieces. While Seiko watches were often considered affordable luxury, Carter recognized their potential for transformation into high-end, luxury pieces that catered to collectors and watch aficionados.
EXPANDING ON A GLOBAL SCALE
Carter Watch Department has since grown to establish a global headquarters in Hong Kong.
The core philosophy has remained the same: transforming Seiko watches into bespoke luxury timepieces, handcrafted to perfection.
In our new HQ we continue to push boundaries in watch customization, bringing exclusive timeless designs at a price point that is unbeatable.
OUR PROCESS
At Carter Watch Department, every timepiece is a testament to uncompromising craftsmanship and precision. Our process begins with the finest materials, carefully selected for their beauty and durability. Every component of the case and bracelet is hand-finished, with skilled artisans dedicating hours to perfecting the final look. The final step is our rigorous waterproofing test to ensure the watch can withstand depths of up to 100 Meters.
